 Even though the vines are "sleeping" from December through February, intensive cate is given to the plants. In addition to tilling around the plants and removing weeds, workers plant ground cover between the rows. Old canes are removed, allowing the remaining one or two to become the bearer(s) of fruit for the next season. |
