Tour of Lompoc
City of Murals in the Valley of Flowers

Lompoc's downtown is a gallery of murals that attract visitors from around the world. Brochures with a map to the murals are abailable at the Cypress Art Gallery, or at the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Taste the sea breeze, the good food,
and the rare flowers...

Cooled by sea breezes from the nearby Pacific, quiet Lompoc draws visitors from all over the world to see their extensive collection of murals downtown. The Mural Society’s major fundraiser, the annual Brushes & Blues event takes place Sunday, August 20th at La Purisima Mission.

Lompoc has become a serious destination for wine lovers, with some of the best Santa Rita Hills wines produced right here. To taste these wines with some really great food, plan to dine at Sissy’s–located in the midst of the downtown murals!

Sissy’s Uptown Cafe
Sissy’s is a favorite with gourmets and wine lovers all over Santa Barbara County who come for the excellent food and wine and deliciously decadent desserts.  For wine tasting, visit Sissy’s Wine Bar, located behind the restaurant. You’ll find one of the largest selections of wines on the Central Coast!
The bright decor and friendly service create a cheerful, relaxing mood for diners, and the wine list has an extensive selection of local labels, as well as local beers. You can taste Palmina, Sea Smoke, Longoria and many other outstanding wines produced in the “Lompoc Wine Ghetto” (lompocwineghetto.com.) For dinner, Chefs DaveSpringer and Janan Byork prepare gourmet entrees including fresh salmon, fresh halibut, colorado lamb chops. black angus filet mignon, ribeye steak, pork chops, walnut encrusted chicken,  pasta with chicken and mushrooms.  Light eaters can enjoy sandwiches and salads, and vegetarians can feast on eggplant roulade, pasta with house-made marinara sauce, pasta primavara and fresh salads.
Lunch items include some delicious choices, from a bacon and spinach quiche that melts in your mouth to a hearty portabello mushroom sandwich. The lunch menu varies daily, and sandwiches are served with fresh soup or salad, not  fries or chips.
Desserts here are always outstanding–save room for coconut cream pie–or a dreamy berry trifle!
